The first USTREAM national policy dialogue event took place on 8 May in Riga, Latvia.

USTREAM National Policy Dialogue RigaOrganised jointly by the European University Association, the University of Latvia and the National Rectors’ Conference, it was dedicated to the issues of university efficiency and effectiveness, and their links to funding, autonomy and governance.

The event was opened by Kārlis Šadurskis, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia, Professor Indriķis Muižnieks, Rector of the University of Latvia, and Thomas Estermann, EUA Director Governance, Funding and Public Policy Development. The next two USTREAM national policy dialogue events will take place on 6 June in Graz, Austria and on 15 June in Kaunas, Lithuania.
